Most people receive their news online and have no reliable, fast way to verify the information they are being fed by massive corporate algorithms. Professional fact-checkers are overworked and can only cover a fraction of what spreads throughout the internet.

Veria was built to close that gap. We combine AI-powered claim extraction, real-time evidence retrieval from authoritative databases, and transparent source citation to give anyone the ability to verify what they read in seconds.

We are not the arbiters of truth. Our models are trained to prioritise reputable media companies, academic papers, government databases and professional fact-checking organisations. We surface and synthesise what they say, then stand behind it transparently.

Our Story

Why we started Veria.

During the 2023–2024 election cycles across Europe and the world we noticed the same pattern emerge at an alarming rate: a false claim would emerge, spread to millions within hours, and reach professional fact-checkers days later when the damage was already done.

We asked a simple question: if we can verify a bank transaction in milliseconds, why does it take days to verify a factual claim? The answer wasn't that verification is inherently slow, it's that nobody had built the infrastructure to do it at scale, in real time, with full transparency.

That's what we set out to build.
