## Verdict explanation

**Analysis of the claim "Donald Trump is dead":**

- This is a **FALSE** claim. Multiple instances of this rumor have circulated on social media and have been thoroughly debunked by fact-checkers[^4][^2][^1][^3].
- A viral rumor claimed Trump died over Labor Day weekend (late August 2025), but this was debunked by Snopes - photos showed him golfing on Aug. 30-31, and he addressed reporters from the Oval Office on Sept. 2, 2025[^3].
- Another wave of death rumors went viral on April 4-5, 2026, but fact-checkers confirmed these were baseless with no evidence to support them[^1][^2].
- In August 2025, the White House was forced to deny rumors after Trump wasn't publicly visible for a few days; officials confirmed he was "working nonstop in the White House and Oval Office"[^4].
- Such death rumors often spread during periods of geopolitical tension (such as the US-Israel military operations in Iran) and exploit social media algorithms to gain traction[^2].
- The White House's rapid response team and multiple news agencies have consistently confirmed Trump is alive and working[^4].
