Erika Kirk's Evangelical group was accused of trafficking children from Romanian villages — 5% Model: Kimi K2.6 · Checked on: 16/05/2026 · Detail: /claim/pudPudyhYVO6nDoWav7G Based on my research, here is my analysis of this claim: **Reasoning:** - Multiple fact-checkers investigated this claim and found no evidence to support it. PolitiFact rated the claim "False"[^1], and Lead Stories found no evidence in Romanian court records or media reports that Kirk's "Romanian Angels" or "Everyday Heroes Like You" ministries were accused of child trafficking[^2]. - Erika Kirk's nonprofit "Every Day Heroes Like You" ran the "Romanian Angels" initiative in Constanța, Romania between approximately 2011 and 2015. The program's stated purpose was to support children in orphanages by sending letters and gifts, and arranging visits from U.S. military personnel stationed in Romania[^3][^2]. - Romanian media coverage from that period portrayed the charity positively, with no mention of suspicions of child trafficking[^2]. The charity promoted a campaign for Americans to "adopt" an orphan by sending Christmas gifts, but was not involved in international adoptions[^2]. - The claim appears to have originated on social media in September 2025 following the assassination of her husband, Charlie Kirk[^1][^3]. Some social media posts referenced unrelated investigations into other evangelical ministries or Israeli adoption agencies in Romania, but no direct link to Kirk's organization was established[^1][^2]. - There is no evidence that Kirk was banned from Romania; Snopes found no documentation supporting this specific allegation[^3]. **Overall validity**: 5% [^1]: [Fact-checking claims that Erika Kirk's charity is tied to trafficking](https://www.wral.com/story/fact-checking-claims-that-erika-kirk-s-charity-is-tied-to-trafficking/22180669/) [^2]: [Fact Check: No Evidence Erika Kirk's 'Romanian Angels' Evangelical Ministry Was Accused Of Trafficking Children Or Banned From Romania](https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/fact-check-no-evidence-erika-020307024.html) [^3]: [No evidence Erika Kirk was involved with child trafficking in Romania](https://www.snopes.com/news/2025/09/25/erika-kirk-child-trafficking/)
